IRMAC is working with CDMP Fellow Deborah Henderson to offer you a 21-hour course that will get you a solid overview or skills refresh on the DAMA-DMBOK and prepare you – if you choose – to take the CDMP Data Management Fundamentals Exam.
About the Course
The course will be held on three days January 26, 27, and 28 starting at 9am ET and ending at 5pm ET each day. There will be regular breaks during the day.
For those interested in the CDMP Credential ….
A Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) credential is awarded to professionals in the field of data management based on a combination of education, work experience, and demonstration of knowledge through text-based examination. Becoming a CDMP will allow you to promote your skills to current and future employers and to improve your capabilities as part of your continuing professional growth.
As a chapter of DAMA International, IRMAC wants to help you prepare to become certified by offering an exam preparatory course for the Data Management Fundamentals exam. In this 21-hour prep course, you’ll learn from CDMP Fellow Deborah Henderson about the requirements of the CDMP and review the DMBoK, which is the standard study material for the CDMP, and global standard reference to best practices in data management.
The CDMP exam is administered by the Data Management Association International (DAMA International) in partnership with Robinson Ryan Inc. For details about the examination process, visit DAMA International’s site on the CDMP (https://cdmp.info/) or watch our introductory webinar (https://www.irmac.ca/events/how-and-why-to-get-the-cdmp/).
CDMP Requirements When considering taking the CDMP exam, you should first consult the CDMP website to determine whether you meet the work experience criteria. You should also consult their website for information on how you can schedule an exam.
